I take issue with that statement only because it isn't impossible. Bernie, not only can get the nomination, but he can win the Presidency.

The stigma of the word socialist, is rather ridiculous, considering the socialized programs already enacted by the US government and their acceptance by the public. Socialism just refers to common ownership and or think of it as many people footing the bill for government services and having input as to how those services are run. Considering that, we love and greatly rely and utilize socialism. If you think you don’t, then why are you upset about the 1% vs 99%? Let a few continue to run and fund everything. That’s not really the either or fallacy, it is stating a fact. Right now, there are a few who are running our country (Google “tyranny of the minority”), so why not give it back over to the people (democracy) or return to the Representative Republic we’re supposed be in the first place, by having a President who ACTUALLY represents and fights for the people’s interest?.
Back to #socialism in the US though. And let’s actually define that.

When people say that “Bernie Sanders can’t win”, it negates him in the minds of many of the masses, because lot's of folks won't take the time to learn about someone already deemed a "Waste of time" or "Waste of a vote". You have to realize that by saying this, you are also simultaneously advocating ignorance, if not silence; it’s dismissive, and that is not the way of this country, the way of reason, or the method in which educated civilized people should behave.
For example, I may never be able to help people on the Myanmar border, the scores of teenage girls impregnated by Boko Haram, stop the resource raping of Africa, end police brutality, “build strong children rather than fix broken men”-Frederick Douglas, or improve veterans’ domestic services, care, and support, but that doesn't mean, I/we shouldn't be aware of it, discuss it, and, for God's sake, try.
I am a supporter of Bernie Sanders, because he is telling the #truth. He’s walked the walk. And has been a leader and a progressive. Many other politicians simply respond to what their advisors or publicists say will get them votes or increase their recognition, but Sanders is a man, nay, a leader, who has been speaking, demanding, and fighting for #CivilAndHumanRights for decades.
Bernie not only can win, but we NEED #BernieSanders to win.
In the words of The Joker (Jack Nicholson) This town (government) needs an enema! And Bernie will clean up all this ish.
